Thoughts for 2017

Welcome to 2017

The changeover to the new year provokes reflective thoughts and inspiration for the year ahead. 2016 was a very busy year for us with family commitments. It raised the question "Where does time go?" which is often answered in a whisper, "I haven't a clue, but the sand in the egg timer seems to be disappearing fast"

Rearing kittens with all the associated work is very time consuming; tending to the adult cats and meeting their needs is a labour of love. Both are becoming increasingly more expensive. The rewards, of course, are seeing healthy babies joining their happy families but on the downside there seems to be more and more time wasters - some don't even realise that they are doing it.

So the next question posed is "Do you have enough time?" and with this "When actually DO you stop?"

With some 'time out' much needed, increasing family commitments, a family visit from the other side of the world and a daughter's wedding, both in the summer, it is not practical to have kittens this year. On reflection we have had kittens every year since 2006 without a break. So with this knowledge we have decided to take a break from breeding in 2017.

We will also be reducing our cats and offering some older boys and girls up for adoption. Please note our criteria for adoption is at least the same as that for our kittens. Availability will be posted on here over the coming months. If you are looking for an older cat please contact us.

For those who have contacted me over the Christmas break; I will get to you over the next few days. Thanking you all for your continued interest in Witchfyre Siberians.
Regards
Shirley
